I worked the oil boom in Evanston, WY back in the winter of 1980. I fled south for Tejas before the **** spring thaw. These days, its so much easier. Microfibers, magical cloths, balaclavas, insulated every **** thing - lots of readily available tech for surviving the bitter cold.

The opposite applies as well. I will be in NYC in August and will be whining about humidity. Reno, as you know, is very dry. Any humidity at all gets us desert rats whining.
